Instagram Workshops and Sessions Highlight Storytelling, Strategy, and Monetisation at 1 Billion Followers Summit

Dubai: Meta hosted a lineup of sessions and workshops targeting established and aspiring content creators attending the fourth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world's largest event dedicated to shaping the content creator economy. The workshops, hosted at the Instagram House space within the summit's venue, addressed a wide range of key topics, from content strategy and monetisation, to technology, personal branding, and success stories.

According to Emirated News Agency, the 1 Billion Followers Summit, which concludes today, is organised by the UAE Government Media Office under the theme 'Content for Good'. Moon Baz, Director of Global Partnerships, Middle East, Africa and Turkey at Meta, emphasized the significant impact creators have on global culture, highlighting Instagram's role in helping creators turn their passions into profitable ventures. Baz explained that their goal at Instagram House was to empower the creator community with tools for storytelling, monetisation, and leveraging Meta AI for content creation.

In various sessions, experts shared insights and strategies to enhance creators' success. Bahjat Hindy, Partner Solutions Manager at Meta, offered practical tips for audience growth and engagement in "10 Tips You Wish You Knew Before About Instagram". Creator Miled Rahal shared storytelling techniques in "The Viral Story Formula", while Joy Ibrahem explained Instagram's algorithms in "Decoding the Algorithms". Ahmad Hossam discussed his journey to amassing a large following in "7 Million Followers in a Year", moderated by Samer Jamal.

The summit also focused on the business side of content creation. Ahmad Daabas from Bold Agency shared strategies for securing brand partnerships in "How to Land Your First Brand Deal". Rof Maneta provided monetisation tips in "How to Earn $10,000 on Facebook", and Dolly Dib shared travel content strategies in "Travel the World for Free". Anna Germanos discussed career longevity in a fireside chat titled "How to Future Proof Your Creator Career".

Workshops also covered presentation and personal branding. Mariana Mustafina led "Elevate Your Presentation Style", while Nora Achmaoui discussed finding purpose in "Finding Your 'Why' as a Creator". Nelly Attar shared insights on self-care in "Breaking Barriers Through Sports".

The summit featured 'ask me anything' sessions with creators like Beki Ksri, who shared her career journey in "How did I turn adrenaline into a career". Raghad Fahmi discussed managing dual careers in "10M Followers and a Medical Degree". Twins Hadhban shared their Instagram success story in "How we became Instagram Rings winners".

Other sessions included "A Conversation with the Beauty Family", where Narin, Cedra, and Sherin Amara discussed their brand journey. "From Likes to Labs" featured Hashem Al-Ghaili discussing science communication on social media. Faten AlMukhtar led "AI Glasses Academy", exploring Meta's smart glasses for content creation, while Samer Jamal and Rana Mag led "Edit Like a Pro", focusing on video editing.

A highlight of the summit was the "Ideas Unboxed with Meta AI" activation, where creators engaged in a hands-on creative challenge, showcasing their creativity with Meta AI as a partner. The summit concluded with a celebration of winners Amina Hussein and Ahmed Hossam. The event attracted over 30,000 attendees, featuring 580+ sessions and 500+ expert speakers with a collective following of 3.5+ billion.
