Baghdad -The 167th meeting of the Executive Office of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) was held in Kuwait at the headquarters of the General Secretariat, headed by the representative of the Republic of Iraq in the Executive Office of the organization, and in the presence of representatives of the Executive Office in the member states of the organization.
The representative of Iraq in the organization, head of the Executive Office for the current session, Naseer Aziz, said, “The meeting discussed a number of topics on its agenda in the presence of Jamal Issa Al-Loughani, Secretary-General of the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC), including preparations for the twelfth Arab Energy Conference scheduled to be held in next January, the draft estimated budget of the organization (the General Secretariat and the Judicial Body) for the year 2024, and a review of the latest developments related to the implementation of Ministerial Council Resolution No. 109/9 regarding developing the work and activity of the organization and restructuring it in line with the developments taking place in the energy industry.”
He added, "The meeting reached a number of recommendations that will be put into actual implementation by the organization's General Secretariat after their approval at the next ministerial meeting."
