Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has visited the seasonal art exhibitions organised by Louvre Abu Dhabi. The exhibitions were held in collaboration with several international cultural institutions, including France Mus©ums, the Mus©e du Louvre (Paris), and the Mus©e National Picasso-Paris.
According to Emirates News Agency, during his visit, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed viewed a selection of artworks documenting historical and civilisational milestones. The exhibitions highlight the evolution of applied arts, architecture, ornamentation, and calligraphy. They also trace the development of modern art and transformations in artistic styles and movements throughout the history of visual arts.
The exhibitions include works on loan from local, regional, and international cultural institutions and collections. These works reflect the diversity of artistic schools and creative practices across cultures. They aim to enrich the region's cultural landscape and showcase the interaction between global artistic influences and the cultural specificity of the Arab world.
