Lung Tumor Removed through Robotic Surgery at King Saud University Medical City

A medical team from King Saud University Medical City, Riyadh, specialized in thoracic surgery, has successfully performed robotic surgery to remove a cancerous lung tumor from a 70-year-old patient.Dr. Suha Kaaki, thoracic and foregut surgeon and assistant professor of surgery, led the team in this procedure. She told a reporter of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the patient was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in the lung. After a thorough review of the case, the surgical team opted for a robotic segmentectomy of the lung.
