Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has condemned the attacks targeting the embassy of the United Arab Emirates in the Syrian capital, Damascus. Oman emphasized that assaults on diplomatic premises contravene international laws and norms governing diplomatic relations, urging for strict compliance with international conventions that safeguard diplomatic missions and their personnel.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman, in a statement carried by Oman News Agency (ONA), reaffirmed its firm rejection of actions that compromise the security and safety of diplomatic missions. The ministry highlighted the necessity of respecting the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and ensuring the protection and security of diplomatic missions at all times.
