Doha: In their editorials on Wednesday, Qatari newspapers highlighted the State of Qatar's support for Lebanon and its people against the brutal assaults by the Israeli occupation, pointing out that a humanitarian air bridge was established to support the Lebanese people, following the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.The newspapers also emphasized the arrival of a team from the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) in Beirut, noting that this team is providing urgent humanitarian aid and relief to the Lebanese people.In its editorial, Al-Sharq newspaper said that in accordance with the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, urgent medical and relief aid has been sent to the Lebanese Republic to help address the crisis caused by recent developments. HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater inaugurated the Qatari air bridge to Lebanon, the newspaper said, adding that a team fr om the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), also reached the Lebanese capital to provide urgent humanitarian aid.The newspaper pointed out that these shipments are just the beginning of the ongoing air bridge to support the Lebanese people, noting that this gesture serves as a message of solidarity and love from Qatar its leadership, government, and people to the Lebanese Republic and its people during these challenging times caused by the assaults from Israeli occupation forces.Al-Sharq emphasized Qatar's full support for Lebanon and its people against the brutal attacks they are facing, noting that HH the Amir indicated that the failure of the international community to stop the war in Gaza acted as a green light for the expansion of conflict.The editorial concluded by stressing that Qatar's support for Lebanon is not new or sudden, as it has always been present in every crisis alongside the Lebanese people. It has long supported Lebanese state institu tions, which reflects the deep fraternal relationship between the two countries and peoples, and Qatars renowned commitment to enhancing Arab solidarity and cooperation.In turn, Al-Raya newspaper said that Qatar has always stood by Lebanon, significantly influencing the country's stability and supporting its resilience in the face of hardships.The newspaper added that in implementation of the directives of HH the Amir, a team from the Qatar International Search and Rescue Group of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), begun providing urgent humanitarian assistance and relief for the displaced and those affected by the war.Al-Raya concluded by noting that Qatar's humanitarian intervention in Lebanon comes in response to the overwhelming suffering endured by the Lebanese from the unjust aggression, adding that Qatar has firmly rejected and condemned the escalating airstrikes and military operations carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, which have claimed the lives of hundreds of innocent people and displaced over a million individuals.Source: Qatar News Agency
