In this regard, the Qatari-US-Turkish talks came through two phone calls that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs received from the Turkish Foreign Minister and US Secretary of State, where His Excellency stressed the State of Qatars commitm ent to supporting all regional and international efforts aimed at achieving security and stability at the regional and international levels, emphasizing the need for calm and de-escalation in the region through unifying international efforts to end the war on Gaza and reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire agreement in the Strip, the paper added.The State of Qatar, in cooperation with partners in Egypt and US, wants to build on the large international alignment supporting the call of the leaders of the three countries to continue negotiations to end the war on Gaza, as it is the only way to resolve the crisis and reduce the escalation that threatens a comprehensive regional and global war. For this reason, diplomatic moves in Qatar with partners came with the aim of creating a breakthrough that allows for the conclusion of an agreement that ends the war that has been ongoing for 10 months, the paper said.For the security and stability of the region and the world, aggression must end immediately. Th ere is no negotiation under fire or while assassinations and escalation continue on more than one front. After all this heavy price that has been paid since Oct. 7, it is time for the fronts to calm down, weapons to fall silent and room to be made for a political solution, Al-Raya concluded.In local affairs, Al-Watan newspaper said that Qatar Television (Qatar TV) celebrates, Thursday, the 54th anniversary of the launch of its official broadcast which falls on Aug. 15, 1970, around two years after the launch of Qatar Radio broadcasting in 1968. This space will certainly increase in the coming few years in light of the country's support for the tourism sector.In another local matter, English-language newspaper The Peninsula noted the healthcare system in the State of Qatar, which has over the years made strides in technological advancement and employed cutting-edge technology.In its editorial titled "Qatars Advance in Healthcare", the paper said that Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has unveiled a revolutionary advancement in precision medicine through the clinical implementation of pharmacogenomics, which is an approach that studies how genes affect an individuals response to medications. It combines pharmacology and genomics to develop personalised drug therapies and considers each patients unique genetic profile to enhance drug efficacy.HMC is the first institution in Qatar and one of a few in the Middle East to integrate pharmacogenomics into routine clinical practice.
