Registration Opens for ‘Dubai Marine Sports Day 2026’ With Five Competitions

Dubai: The Dubai International Marine Club has announced the opening of registration for the 'Dubai Marine Sports Day 2026' event, scheduled over three days from 16th to 18th January at the waterfront in the Jebel Ali area.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event will serve as a comprehensive sports festival, celebrating the maritime identity of the Emirate of Dubai and promoting a culture of marine sports and activities within the community. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in five main competitions, including the second round of the UAE Modern Sailing Championship and the first rounds of the UAE Modern Olympic Rowing Championship, Dubai Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Kayak Race, Kayak Fishing Competition, and Dubai Kite Surfing Championship.

The total prize value for these competitions amounts to AED231,000, which will be distributed among the top finishers in each category. Mohammed Hareb, Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Club, emphasized that 'Dubai Marine Sports Day 2026' is part of the club's commitment to developing marine sports by providing a platform that integrates maritime heritage with modern marine sports.

Hareb also highlighted that the annual organization of this event aligns with the club's strategy to support talent, increase awareness of maritime safety, and reinforce Dubai's position as a global destination for marine sports. Furthermore, he mentioned that choosing the Jebel Ali waterfront as this year's venue is part of the club's efforts to diversify event locations and reach a broader segment of the community.
