Dubai: H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, held a meeting with Daniela Misail-Ni?ita, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2026 in Dubai. The discussions centered on enhancing bilateral cooperation in security and policing, as well as fostering partnerships in training, capacity building, and exchanging expertise to tackle contemporary security challenges.
According to Emirates News Agency, both leaders emphasized that the World Government Summit serves as a significant global platform for dialogue and the exchange of visions and experiences among nations. This contributes to strengthening international understanding and supports innovation in government and security operations, thereby positively impacting societal security and stability.
The meeting also marked the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Moldova. The agreement facilitates the movement of driving license holders from both nations during residence or visits by eliminating the need for conducting theoretical and practical tests.
