Dubai: Salik Company PJSC (Salik), the exclusive toll gate operator of Dubai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ENOC Group to develop smart and seamless payment solutions aimed at enhancing the customer experience at ENOC service stations. The MoU was signed by Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik Company, and Zaid Alqufaidi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail, at the ENOC Head Office.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement will allow Salik and ENOC customers to enjoy a seamless experience with integrated payment options for fueling and other services across ENOC’s network of service stations. The transaction value will be automatically deducted from the customer’s balance in their Salik e-wallet, facilitated by Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology. This is the same technology used in over 25 parking locations, with plans to expand to over 127 locations. Seamless payments are already available at key destinations such as Dubai Mall, Dubai Marina Mall, and others.
The collaboration marks a milestone in the digital transformation journeys of both companies, aiming to streamline customer experience and improve operational efficiency. The initiative supports Salik’s growing ancillary revenue streams by reducing reliance on traditional payment methods. Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad emphasized that the partnership aligns with Salik’s strategy to drive digital transformation and enhance convenience for customers, reinforcing Salik’s commitment to intelligent mobility solutions across Dubai.
Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, expressed that the agreement enhances the customer journey at ENOC service stations by leveraging Salik’s technology. He noted that the partnership aims to provide a seamless payment experience while exploring opportunities to strengthen ENOC’s market position.
The MoU includes a framework for joint marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the new digital features, developed with high standards of security and data protection. Both organizations are exploring opportunities for a strategic partnership to deliver greater value to their shared customer base. The agreement includes plans for joint technical integration and the phased rollout of smart payment solutions, with the potential to expand Salik-powered services across the ENOC station network.
The agreement builds on Salik’s efforts to deliver customer-centric mobility solutions, following the launch of its variable tolling system aimed at improving traffic flow in Dubai. Meanwhile, ENOC Group continues to focus on digital innovation and operational excellence, supporting the UAE’s transformation into a more advanced and connected economy.
