Sharjah: His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received members of the Judicial Council in a meeting held at the office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. The gathering was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council.According to Emirates News Agency, the Ruler of Sharjah began the meeting by welcoming the attendees and highlighting the judiciary's crucial role in maintaining government stability and societal harmony. He emphasized the significance of integrating judicial apparatuses to achieve the law's lofty goals by promoting justice and spreading values of tolerance and virtue within the community.During the discussions, Sheikh Dr. Sultan reiterated the commitment to the independence of the judiciary, asserting that judges should operate without external i nfluence, guided solely by law and conscience. He stressed that any interference in judicial matters at the emirate level should be within legally approved boundaries, thus ensuring the judiciary's autonomy.The Ruler also underscored the importance of instilling values of truth and justice among those who approach the courts for dispute resolution. He advocated for judicial and legal professionals to act as educators and mediators, fostering societal cohesion by encouraging reconciliation, forgiveness, and pardon, which strengthen interpersonal relationships.The meeting further addressed the necessity for judicial and legal professionals to provide comprehensive legal and social advice to court-goers at all stages of litigation, aiming to prevent the escalation of conflicts. His Highness emphasized the importance of judges continually educating themselves and staying updated on advancements in modern science and knowledge, ensuring judicious and focused decision-making.Expressing their gratitude, the Ju dicial Council members thanked His Highness for entrusting them with their roles and pledged to uphold his wise guidance and directives to fulfill their duties effectively.The meeting was attended by several notable officials, including Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Ruler's Office; Sheikh Faisal bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Mualla, Secretary-General of the Judicial Council; and various heads of judicial departments, among others.
