Prague: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), affirmed that the stability of the Gulf region remains a fundamental pillar for the stability of the global economy and international maritime security. According to Emirates News Agency, this statement was delivered during Albudaiwi's participation in a panel session on GCC-European strategic links, held in Prague on the sidelines of the GLOBSEC Global Security Forum 2026. He emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between the GCC and the European Union (EU) in solidifying the Council's initiatives amidst rapid geopolitical shifts and growing global security and economic challenges.
Albudaiwi stated that the GCC General Secretariat's involvement in the forum exemplifies its commitment to maintaining an active presence in regional and international discussions.
