Dubai:Reigning T100 World Champion Kate Waugh has praised the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) for its role in encouraging physical activity. She expressed her admiration ahead of her participation in the Dubai T100 Triathlon at Al Mamzar scheduled for 14th November.
According to Wam, Waugh described the initiative as "amazing," highlighting its simplicity and effectiveness in motivating the entire city to engage in 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days. Her observations were based on her visit to Dubai last year, where she witnessed the impact firsthand.
Waugh further elaborated that the T100 Triathlon World Tour shares a similar mission of making the sport accessible and exciting, aiming to involve more people. She noted that participating in DFC aligns well with these goals, emphasizing the unique experience of racing in a city actively engaged in fitness activities.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge, now in its tenth edition, runs from 31st October to 29th November. Organized by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and the Dubai Sports Council, it invites both residents and visitors to partake in the 30-day activity challenge. Waugh will compete in the professional women's race on 14th November, marking the last of the four women's races before the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final in Doha from 10th to 12th December.
