The Iraqi intelligence service thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large amount of narcotic crystal into Iraqi territory.
The Security Media Cell stated in a statement, “The heroes of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service were able, in coordination with the border forces, to thwart an attempt to smuggle a large amount of narcotic crystal into Iraqi territory through the border areas in Maysan Governorate,” indicating that “the narcotic substances were seized and efforts are still continuing to track down the smugglers to arrest them and take legal action against him.”
