Washington: US President Donald Trump hailed a "golden age" for the United States during the longest State of the Union address in history, emphasizing his administration's economic achievements.
According to Emirates News Agency, Trump dedicated the first hour of his televised speech to discussing the nation's economic progress. He highlighted key accomplishments such as curbing inflation, achieving record highs in the stock market, implementing significant tax cuts, and reducing drug prices. Trump proclaimed, "Our nation is back -- bigger, better, richer and stronger than ever before," as he addressed the audience.
The address concluded just before 11 pm ET (0400 GMT), lasting over an hour and 47 minutes, thereby surpassing the previous record he set last year for the longest presidential address to Congress.
