Honiara: Dr. Fahad Obaid Al Taffaq, the UAE Ambassador to Australia and Non-Resident Ambassador to Samoa, Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu, has officially presented his credentials as the Non-Resident Ambassador of the UAE to the Solomon Islands to Patterson J. Oti, the Acting Governor General of the Solomon Islands.
According to Emirates News Agency, Al Taffaq conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, to Oti. The UAE leaders extended their wishes for continued progress and prosperity to the government and people of Solomon Islands.
Oti reciprocated with greetings to the UAE leadership, expressing desires for further development and growth for the UAE government and its people. He praised the strong ties between the two nations and wished the ambassador success in his mission to bolster bilateral cooperation and strengthen relations across various fields.
Dr. Al Taffaq expressed his pride in representing the UAE in the Solomon Islands, emphasizing his commitment to enhancing bilateral relations in multiple sectors to serve mutual interests and consolidate ties between the two peoples.
The meeting also included discussions on potential avenues for collaboration and development, aiming to fulfill the aspirations of both countries and their citizens toward a prosperous future.
