Abu dhabi: The UAE Cyber Security Council and Nozomi Networks, a leader in OT and IoT security, have announced a strategic collaboration to fortify the cybersecurity resilience of the UAE's critical infrastructure and industrial sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, this collaboration aligns with the UAE's national vision to bolster cyber resilience in operational technology and Internet of Things environments. The partnership will provide enhanced visibility, advanced threat detection, and intelligence-driven security for critical national assets in sectors such as energy, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, and smart infrastructure.
The collaboration includes plans to establish an Innovation and Excellence Center in Abu Dhabi. This center will focus on cybersecurity for Operational Technology and the Internet of Things, serving as a national platform to drive innovation, enhance resilience, and strengthen industrial cybersecurity readiness. It will also function as a hub for Research and Development, supporting the development of advanced solutions and the publication of impactful research in industrial cybersecurity.
The initiative aims to support the UAE's goal of maintaining its leadership in innovation and cyber protection, in line with secure digital transformation priorities. It will provide crucial support to critical infrastructure operators, government entities, academic institutions, startups, and industry partners, ensuring the protection of national assets in key sectors.
As digital transformation progresses across the nation, OT and IoT environments are increasingly interconnected and vulnerable to advanced cyber threats. The collaboration between the UAE Cyber Security Council and Nozomi Networks will help organizations enhance their capacity to detect, monitor, and respond to these threats targeting cyber-physical systems.
Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, emphasized the importance of protecting operational and industrial environments for national security, economic continuity, and public safety. Bachir Moussa, EMEA South Vice President at Nozomi Networks, expressed honor in collaborating with the UAE Cybersecurity Council to support cyber-physical system protection and contribute to national resilience initiatives.
