Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, engaged in discussions focusing on regional developments and their implications on security and stability, including maritime security, energy supplies, and the global economy.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting occurred during Prime Minister Meloni's visit to the UAE. The leaders addressed the ongoing Iranian terrorist aggression affecting the UAE and other regional countries, including attacks on civilians and infrastructure. They emphasized that such actions violate sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter.
Prime Minister Meloni expressed Italy's condemnation of these terrorist attacks and affirmed Italy's solidarity with the UAE's efforts to safeguard its security and sovereignty, ensuring the safety of its territory and citizens.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and Prime Minister Meloni also explored various aspects of UAE-Italy cooperation, particularly in economic and development sectors. They reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their strategic partnership for the mutual benefit of both nations and their people.
The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; and several other ministers and officials.
