UAE President and NATO Secretary General Discuss Regional Security Concerns

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today engaged in a phone conversation with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss the escalating military tensions in the region. The dialogue focused on the implications of these developments for both regional and international security, as well as potential impacts on international shipping and the global economy.

According to Emirates News Agency, the conversation touched on the continued Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other nations in the region. These attacks have been directed at civilians, civilian infrastructure, and essential facilities, raising significant concerns.

The NATO Secretary General condemned these attacks, emphasizing that they violate sovereignty, international law, and the principles outlined in the UN Charter. He also acknowledged the UAE's response to the situation, praising the measures being implemented to protect its territory and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents.
