UAE President Reconstitutes Board of Trustees for National Human Rights Institution

Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a decision to reconstitute the Board of Trustees of the National Human Rights Institution.

According to Emirates News Agency, the decision appoints His Excellency Dr Salem Suhail Saeed Al Neyadi as the Chair, with Dr Fatima Khalifa Al Kaabi, Maryam Mohammed Al Ahmadi, Engineer Nasser Ahmed Mohammed Al Rashdi, Ali Salem Al Qeishi Al Shahi, Hamad Salem Kardous Al Ameri, Dr Youssef Abdelghafar Al Sharif, Ahmed Suleiman Ahmed Al Hammadi, Fadila Abdullah Mohammed Al Muaini, Moza Salem Abdullah Al Shoumi, Dr Amina Abdullah Al Majed, and Fatima Mohammed Youssef Al Jassim as members.

The decision also includes a provision for the Board to elect a Vice-Chairperson from among its members to act in the Chairperson's absence. The board members will serve a term of four years, starting from the decision's effective date, in accordance with Federal Law No. (12) of 2021.

The decision is effective from the date of issuance and will be executed by the relevant authorities within their respective capacities. It will also be published in the Official Gazette.
