With The Presence Of Many Obstacles… Al-Shammari: The Ministerial Reshuffle In Al-Sudani Govt Is Inevitably Coming

The head of the Center for Political Thinking, Ihsan Al-Shammari, confirmed: "The ministerial reshuffle in the government of Muhammad Al-Sudani is inevitably coming, with many obstacles."

Al-Shammari said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA): "The ministerial reshuffle is inevitable and pressures on Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani, given that 60-65% of his cabinet is unproductive, ineffective, and did not work on implementing the government program, so Al-Sudani realized this fact after 6 months of the government's life, and that his cabin needs to be modified."

He explained: "Al-Sudani wants to carry out the ministerial reshuffle in accordance with the strategy he set and with the goals he wants to achieve, but this desire collided with several obstacles, the most important of which was the political leaders who refused to have control over the prime minister over the government cabinet, and the other barrier is the political quota system, which the government was built on it, and a breach of the quota system means a complete breach of the political consensus, on the basis of which the government was formed.

Al-Shammari pointed out: "Al-Sudani fears that there will be a political coup by the blocs against him, and he will lose support for the government from those blocs, which is another obstacle," pointing out: "The last obstacle is that changing 8-9 ministers in the government indicates inaccuracy in choosing ministers, it may affect the personality and position of al-Sudani.”

He stressed that Al-Sudani may turn to the political blocs to persuade them to make a limited change in his cabinet, 3-4 ministers only, but by consensus.

He pointed out that political consensus is important for carrying out the ministerial reshuffle, and this reshuffle will not happen without it, as some political blocs have officially stated, which rejected change at the level of ministers or special grades, and therefore without the support of the blocs, this path cannot proceed.
