Mohammed Bin Rashid Meets With Kuwait’s Prime Minister During World Governments Summit

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, met with H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, during the World Governments Summit 2026 held in Dubai.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting took place on the second day of the summit, which is themed 'Shaping Future Governments'. It concludes on 5 February and is noted for the largest global leadership participation in its history. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the Kuwaiti Prime Minister and his delegation, highlighting the historic ties and mutual cooperation between the UAE and Kuwait across all sectors. He expressed his wishes for continued prosperity for Kuwait.

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed acknowledged Kuwait's active role in the summit, emphasizing the cooperation and joint action between the two nations. He praised Kuwait's leadership for its efforts in developing its government system, contributing to the future of government excellence and fostering international partnerships.

H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah emphasized the strong bilateral relations and the commitment to further strengthening these ties, which are pivotal among GCC countries. He recognized the summit's role in uniting global leaders to empower governments, enhance cooperation, and address global challenges. He commended the UAE's vision for advancing government excellence.

The meeting was attended by several notable figures, including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and other UAE ministers. The World Governments Summit 2026 features participation from more than 60 heads of state and government, over 500 ministers, and representatives from more than 150 governments, with attendance exceeding 6,250 participants.
