Kuwaiti Information Minister Commends UAE’s Media Strengths at Arab Media Forum

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi expressed appreciation for the UAE's media capabilities, highlighting their human and technological prowess due to diligent efforts and strategic planning. The statement was made as he welcomed Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and UAE Media Council, who arrived in Kuwait to participate in the Arab Media Forum and the 28th GCC information ministers meeting.

According to Emirates News Agency, the minister praised the visit as part of a productive media collaboration between Kuwait, the UAE, and other GCC member countries, which he described as exemplary for pan-Arab media initiatives. He acknowledged the UAE's media progress and strategic vision, emphasizing professionalism and innovation as key factors.

Al-Mutairi stated that the UAE being named the guest of honour at the Arab Media Forum was a well-earned recognition, reflecting its significant standing in the Arab media sphere and the vital role of its media outlets in fostering cultural and intellectual exchanges. He also noted that the GCC information ministers' meeting aims to enhance regional media coordination, promoting integration and cooperation to support regional issues and the aspirations of its people.

The minister reiterated Kuwait's dedication to strengthening media partnerships with the UAE, driven by a firm belief in the importance of media in developing societal awareness and reinforcing shared Gulf and Arab values.
